Buntrock Commons, opened in 1999, community center for St. Olaf College. It is home to the book store, the college's dining facilities and administrative offices. Several student-led groups, such as the Manitou Messenger, Student Government Association and yearbook, also are based in Buntrock Commons.

The large central space is used to display art, created from both artists from on-campus and off.
