Welcome to Caffe Biaggio. We are your hosts, John D’Agostino and Shari Breed. John grew up in Chicago, Illinois. John owned the restaurant Dante’s in Chicago before moving to the Twin Cities. We were also partners for eight years in our business Fiori Deli & Catering in White Bear Lake. Caffe Biaggio opened in August 2002. The restaurant is named for John’s maternal great-grandfather, Biaggio. The building we are in is the Specialty building.Our menu is simple, country Italian food that you might find in small trattorias throughout Italy. Family recipes and other simple, home-style dishes are what we prefer. Though John’s family is Calabrese, we incorporate dishes from all over Italy. Our menu selections change seasonally. Our wine list is an extensive, all-Italian list. We also serve a select assortment of beers.
