The building that now serves as the Boone's Lick Trail Inn was built in 1840 near the trail that two of Daniel Boone's sons used to transport salt they manufactured in Howard County. In 1981, the Mydler family purchased the building and since have remodeled and authentically decorated this historic treasure for a traveler's pleasure. Each unit has its own bath and there is a parlor where guests can get to know others and discuss historic St. Charles. It serves a wonderful breakfast of fruits, pastries, breads and a special treat of French toast stuffed with strawberry sauce.
