For almost 20 years, Sang Bealer has been the owner and chef at Bangkok City, the first Thai restaurant in Springfield.Originally funded by Mrs. Bealer’s profit sharing/retirement package when Zenith closed their Springfield operations, Bangkok city’s original location opened downtown on 300 Park Central East in 1991.After several years, the business success led to opening a second location at the corner of Glenstone and Division.In 2004, Mrs Bealer seized the opportunity to move the business to the Walnut Street Historic District where they are currently located at 1129 E Walnut Street.Bangkok City’s delicious and authentic dishes have been delighting diners for over 19 years and the restaurant’s loyal customers have followed the business for all these years.
