When the air begins to get hot and the days become longer we start seeing the first of the summertime local crabs filled with juicy, flavorful meat. Greentail shrimp are on the way as well as yellowfin tuna, mahi mahi, and cobia and swordfish occasionally. We are in constant contact with our seafood merchants sourcing the freshest possible items, local whenever possible.Allie and Colin Grandy at Grandy’s Farm Market have supplied us for 20 years with the region’s best seasonal produce. The melons are already plump and sweet, tomatoes are here, and sweet corn will soon follow. Peaches have started strong, with blueberries making a good showing, butterbeans, fieldpeas, Vidalia onions, and squashes look great.
