The Dutch Epicure is a Mecca for any lover of freshly made bread and pastries. The display counters hold all kinds of cakes and pastries, such as truffle cake, Swiss Florentine, fruit tartlets, almond barquettes and pretty "swans" filled with chocolate and whipped cream. One end of the counter holds freshly baked breads, rolls and baguettes. There are cafe tables and chairs plus a selection of coffees, teas and other drinks to enjoy with the baked goods. Everything is made from scratch.
The shop is especially proud of its buttercream frosting, which has no shortening or powdered sugar and is made fresh with dairy cream. The bakers also make custom-designed cakes for weddings and other special occasions.
