The original Homestead was the home of Benjamin Emmons, the Revolutionary War soldier and figure. He kept a tavern in his home during the war. Today, the tradition remains with the Homestead Tavern Restaurant. It has kept its decor as original as possible to pay homage to the restaurant's colonial beginnings. It hosts live music six days a week. The restaurant serves salads, seafood, steak, chicken pasta, veal, rack of lamb, baby back ribs, flatbread pizza, burgers, sandwiches and more.
