Valley Shepherd Creamery is situated in a picturesque field nestled among the mountains. Even though it's a large operation, the management has somehow maintained an image of a neighborhood business. It offers tours of the grounds, allowing customers to see the four species of animals that are kept there, the processing room where the creams and cheeses are made and the gift shop. The gift shop offers enough items of interest to spend a whole day there. It includes everything from cheeses and artisan butter to ravioli and ricotta salad. The owner has been making cheese for over 25 years and is expert at what he does.
