Zoya and Mike Bitici have been in the restaurant business for over 25 years. Their gracious and warm welcoming style has been a hallmark of their success. Zoya and Mike operated The Grand Ticino in Greenwich Village, NYC from 1980-2001. The restaurant was the basis for the motion picture Moonstruck (1987), starring Cher and Nicholas Cage. Since, 1919 The Grand Ticino has been a famous dining and watering hole for writers, poets, and literary greats. It was a favorite location for marriage proposals. Zoya and Mike can tell you many stories , and some day they will write their own book about all the people they met and the great times had at their restaurant. Zoya and Mike have brought their New York City experience to Red Bank and a new “flavorful” chapter is being written on Broad Street 5 days a week. Don’t miss the opportunity to be a party of another classic in the making. Named for a small island in Venice, “Torcello”, promises to be a comfortable, romantic oasis for you to enjoy the very freshest Regional Italian Cuisine.
