El Pollo Loco is a Mexican fast food restaurant which was started in 1975 by Juan Francisco Ochoa in the small Pacific town of Guasave, Mexico. Today there are over 400 franchise locations including this one here in Temecula, which was opened in the late 1990s. While its specialty and main ingredient is grilled chicken, it also serves up a variety of side items such as mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, cole slaw and more. For parties of 10 or more, a catering menu is available with 24 piece meals, 48 piece meals and jumbo-size side dishes.
