The Carousel Restaurant of Great Neck is Long Island's first and only Kaiten restaurant. In the Kaiten style, the customer takes the sushi of their choice off a conveyor belt. At the end of the meal the "color-coded" plates signify different priced sushi and comprise the bill. The Carousel Restaurant also offers Asain tapas, Hibachi and a sushi bar. A kid's menu is also available with food served in a car, spaceship or princess-shaped dinnerware.
The unique menu continues with exotic fish choices. These "fresh catches" are air shipped directly from Tokyo's famous Tsukiji Fish Market.
The Carousel Restaurant is located across the street from the Great Neck Long Island Railroad taxi stand. After 6pm and on weekends, the municipal parking lot on the north side of the LIRR tracks is available without a permit.
