The Town of Huntington General Services Department's main responsibility is maintenance and repair of the many Town of Huntington facilities.

Some of these facilities  are the Town Hall, many town parks, parking facilities, golf courses and even certain cemeteries. 

The General Services Department performs maintenance such as "carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and grounds maintenance".  Additionally, the department handles the copy and print center, telecommunications and the mail and messenger services for the Town of Huntington.

Another big responsibility of General Services is maintenance of all vehicles and equipment owned by the Town of Huntington.
