Java Girl was started in 1998 in a small space with a small idea. The small idea: give people a place to come and sit for 5 minutes or 5 hours (if they needed it!) and just relax away from the stresses of their work or their lives. A place that would feel comfortable, warm and safe. A place to have a cup of coffee or tea and just think it all through alone or with a friend. Over the years we not only expanded in size but in becoming a haven for the community. Many friendships have been made and a lot of life stories shared. We have been witness to love blossoming into marriage, then into children, and now are watching their children grow.
