It is rare to find a small, family owned business among the hustle and bustle of midtown Manhattan. However, that is exactly what you will find at Maggie's Place, along with the friendliness and warmth of a Mom and Pop business. Maggie's Place opened in 1974 by my parents, Teddy and Maggie Whelan. they emigrated from Dublin, Ireland in 1958, and sixteen years and three children later they realized their "American Dream" and opened their own restaurant.
