Located on the corner of Peconic and E Main Street, Dark Horse Restaurant is about as close to 'downtown' as it gets. The restaurant, which opened in the fall of 2010, serves lunch and dinner with a view of everything passing by on E and W Main Streets at all hours of the day and night. Dark Horse serves food with local ingredients with a selection of local beer and wine, and owner Dee Muma describes the restaurant as a brasserie - a relaxed, french-style restaurant with long-cooked food that's ready to go or meals that can be prepared in short time. Chef Jeff Trujillo comes to Dark Horse after working as executive chef at Tweed's Restaurant for the past 10 years.
