Located at Central and Yonkers Avenues, just eight miles from Yankee Stadium, Yonkers Racing Corporation owns and operates the Yonkers Raceway. This establishment is a major entertainer for the Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania). Yonkers races three nights each week, with free admissions on Mondays and Tuesdays and simulcasting on Fridays. The raceway also features the Empire Terrace dining room with a panoramic view of the track. The company was founded in 1899 by William C. Clark and James Butler and has been the home of the historic Empire City Trotting Club since that founding.
