The Safe Haven Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Center supports all survivors of assault and domestic abuse. Treating Ashland County residents with dignity and respect, Safe Haven Domestic and Rape Crisis Center, has a 24 hour hotline that is free and confidential, and staffed with well-trained volunteers and experts. We understand that sexual assault and domestic abuse is an extraordinary, traumatic event resulting in being overwhelmed physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially and spiritually. Sexual Assault and Domestic Abuse seriously damages a person's view of self, life and one's personal values. Persons who have experienced an assault/abuse event require re-education of the process of trusting and sharing, personal insight and growth, recovery and empowerment. Our Goals are simple: We aim to provide support, advocacy, information and referrals to community resources and to any Ashland County resident seeking service to provide the general public and service providers. The information we provide to the general public about sexual assault and domestic abuse is vital, so those survivors will be treated with greater sensitivity. We strive to educate the public so that the incidence of assault or abuse, against both adults and children, will be reduced to present this educational and supportive process with deep compassion and empathy.
