The aptly named Deekers Sidetracks has plenty of charm and character, and, though it features several large dining areas and two large indoor bars, it retains the ambience of a converted, remodeled train station.
What really makes Deekers unique, though, is the outdoor bar and gaming area with several sandy beach-like volleyball courts, horseshoe courts, arcade games and plenty of outdoor seating. Trains roar by the length of Deekers occasionally and unpredictably, giving the whole resataurant a rush of energy and fun. Longtime Mentor residents will remember Deekers as the former Gatsby's.
