Frank and Carolyn Thurber, Chuck House founders, have been serving hungry Oklahomans "The Best Chicken Fried Steak in the Universe" since 1972. We have been in our present location at 4430 N.W. 10th in Oklahoma City since 1978. Our new location at 700 S. Broadway in Edmond opened in October 2007. The three Thurber sons, Jay, Jeff and Lee along with granddaughter Brandi, are managing the businesses (with a little help from mom). All of the daughters-in-law, as well as all of the grandchildren, have worked in the restaurant (some still are).
