After spending time on the islands of Maui and Kona admiring food and the culture of the Hawaiian cowboy, Kona Ranch Steak and Seafood Restaurant was founded in 1992 by Creed Ford and some of his colleges.Unlike the cowboys on the mainland the Ponialo (Hawaiian cowboy) had many more resources of fresh seafood, meats and vegetables enabling them to create simple tasteful ranch dishes.
