Other Details:
Carlo Vicenttin founded La Bamba Mexican Restaurant in 2003, influenced by his roots in the Mexican state of Veracruz. The name La Bamba comes from a Mexican folk song, originally from the state of Veracruz, best known from a 1958 adaptation by Ritchie Valens. Since La Bamba opened its doors in Sandy Oregon and later in the South East side of Portland, Carlo has made an effort to bring a better culinary experience to his customers. At La Bamba you can find dishes like Cactus Salad, Pipian, Cochinita Pibil and Mixiotes as well as a large variety of seafood options from the Gulf Coast of Mexico. Carlo continues attending culinary seminars in Mexico to learn the traditional Mexican cuisine and he is a very active member of the local Mexican Restaurant Association.
