Abe Fisher is the most recent restaurant from partners Michael Solomonov and Steven Cook, who are behind Zahav, Percy Street Barbecue, Dizengoff and Federal Donuts. With co-chef Yehuda Sichel, Solomonov and Cook are introducing new ideas to familiar Jewish dishes like gefilte fish, and drawing inspiration from Jewish food traditions around the world -- even things like eating Chinese food on Christmas. Decidedly traif, Abe Fisher corns pork belly in-house for tiny Reubens, smokes whole short ribs cured with Montreal spice for four-person feasts and encourages experimentation with 17 wines by the glass. Abe Fisher has a full bar and daily Happy Hour from 5-6pm.
