Founded in 1906, the West View Fire Department has been providing fire protection and emergency assistance services for more than 100 years. It maintains a fleet of fire engines and rescue vehicles, as well as equipment, such as water pumps and tanks, ventilation saws, gas meters, automated electronic defibrillators and thermal imaging cameras. The department responds to over 120 service calls annually and hosts weekly bingo nights to raise funds for new equipment. In addition, the West View Fire Department maintains several breathing apparatus. It features a banquet facility that provides catering services for weddings and birthday parties.
