The Spring-Ford Area Historical Society is dedicated to promoting and preserving artifacts of local historical value. The society researches, acquires and preserves significant properties in the area. In 1988 the society opened its first museum in the old train station. The house has since been converted into the society's headquarters and a museum open to the public.
