Oak Hill Veneer contributes to the Hardwood Forestry Fund. The fund was established in 1990 to support projects that promote hardwood timber growth, management and education. Oak Hill was established in 1985 as an outgrowth of Cummings Lumber. The company was originally formed to slice veneer from lumber produced by Cummings Lumber. It would then splice the veneer into stock panels. The product line expanded due to customers requests, and other slicers and clippers were added to meet the needs expressed by its customers. Oak Hill Veneer produces veneer in a range of species, thickness and dimensions to meet the changing needs of plywood, kitchen cabinet, raised panel door, flooring and furniture companies.
