Martha and Willy, two German immigrants, came to America in 1936, taught themselves to read and write in English and opened their first bakery. Today, their grandchildren run the location, as well as several others around Philadelphia. The bakery offers fresh baked goods including cookies, bread and wedding and birthday cakes. Service is friendly and fast. There's a lot to choose from, and the shop smells as good as it looks.
