You can smell the salt water at this historic hotel, which is located across the street from Easton's Beach and is made up of two buildings. The larger of the two buildings features a parking lot and is across the street from the second building, which houses the hotel lobby and restaurant. There are 42 historic rooms and 26 suites, which feature full kitchens, a washer and dryer and jacuzzi tubs in each suite. The hotel is on the line between Newport and Middletown, making it central to shopping and restaurants in both towns, although this hotel has a full restaurant next to its lobby. The lobby has a comfortable, welcoming feel and the overall vibe is both beachy and historic.

Guests should note that the parking lot is free off season, but from Memorial Day - Labor Day there is a $10 charge a day per car. Discounts offered include AAA and AARP, and the hotel offers free Wi-Fi, which can be accessed from the pool and rooftop, as well as in both buildings. Each room features 27" LCD televisions and DVD players.
