Part of the Union FIre District of South Kingstown, this all-volunteer fire department is comprised of about 30 members and responds to fire and rescue calls around the clock. 

Station 9 is home to the District's newest appuratus, a 2010 Pierce known as Engine 22.  Station members also man Engine 24, a 2009 Smeal Tanker that operates as a rural hydrant and is part of the South County Tanker Task Force, delivering water to firegrounds when no hydrants are available.
