Black Sheep Coffee Shop proudly embraces the culture and history of many things, music, visual art, poetry, politics, world affairs, but especially coffee. Since there has been roasted coffee, there has been community gatherings mainly centered around people talking with each other. Italy is credited with the first coffeehouse and it was mainly a place for men to come and discuss ideas of every variety. When it came to Paris is was an Italian man that started Paris’s caffee revolution. Coffee caffee bars became the place to see and be seen, and as it was perfectly normal to approach strangers for conversation, it was credited to starting many relationships. In genereal though coffee’s history is long and controversial. We try to serve you coffee with it’s history in mind, where your espresso is old-school and great, but equally great is the progress of coffee and our service of all it’s specialty drinks. We are happy to be a coffee shop where people can come in and chat with one another and long talks can take place. In fact nothing makes us happier than people engaged in discussions with their coffee at our house. We are happy to have all that history and good coffee in our little spot in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.We are also proud of being Sioux Falls’ oldest artisanal coffee roaster. Our master roaster has ten years of experience and personally selects and along with our small team of talented roasters, roasts each crop of raw beans to it’s maximum potential taste profile.
