Shirley's Home Cooking is located across from Watauga Lake on Highway 321 near Butler Tennessee and is owned and operated by Grant and Shirley Sharpe. Shirley's opened in 1990 with only three tables, serving mainly local dinners. However, word of Shirley's homemade family style meals spread fast and renovations throughout the years allows Shirley's to seat around 250 customers. Shirley's has a lot to offer, including great food, a family atmosphere and a Country Store for browsing while you wait. The Country Store, headed up by Barbara Matheson and Kaylyn , Grant and Shirleys granddaughter has a wide variety of quilts, candies, jams, jellies, wooden toys and other gifts.
