Cajun Cookers won the World Barbeque Championship at the Memphis in May championship on the banks of the Mississippi river in 1987. This win validated what everyone around Darrell already knew, “His food is the best on the planet.” Later, they conquered the World Pork Expo in Des Moines, Iowa. After an absence of twenty years, Cajun Cookers Too, composed of son, grandson and friends has returned to the banks of the Mississippi to compete in the World Championships once again. They have placed in the top ten in the world in ribs and seafood the past two years.
