Founded in 1950 by Frank Martin and his nephew Sam Martin, Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home is now the oldest established funeral home in the city of Oak Ridge. The Martin name was already well established and respected in the funeral industry having founded their first Martin Funeral Home in Lake City, Tennessee in 1926 and then the Martin Funeral Home in Clinton, Tennessee in 1946. The Martin family served the residents of Oak Ridge and Anderson County until 1987 when the funeral home was sold following the death of Sam Martin in August of 1986. Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home is now independently owned and family operated and it is our desire to continue to provide the highest level of services with dignity and respect to the families of Oak Ridge and surrounding areas. Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home is a full service funeral establishment serving all faiths and nationalities, offering traditional funeral services, cremation services and advanced funeral planning.
