Jenée, a native Texan, and Rob, a Texan by marriage, have moved to Austin too many times to count. Together or separately they have lived in Austin, Dallas, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Boston, NYC and most recently, Asheville, NC, where they opened Izzy's Coffee Den in 2004. Izzy's was their introduction to coffee, kind of like a shop with training wheels. They started off with sandwiches and salads, soups and milkshakes, bagels and cereal . . . and they even served coffee. Some things worked, some things drove them to the brink of insanity. Even a tricycle falls over from time to time. But one thing became clear, the coffee was the most fun and the most interesting for them. And the more they focused on coffee, the better things went.
