True Mexican street food that begins with a thick, palm-sized tortilla made from corn or wheat flour, quick-grilled and then cut open to form a pocket. Gorditas are then stuffed with Mexican regional specialty “stews”, ranging from Carnita en Salsa Verde (slow-cooked pork in green chile sauce) to Pollito Pibil (chicken with citrus achiote sauce), to Quesadillas, to Frijolitos con Queso (bean with cheese) and many more to choose from. Our restaurant chain offers authentic and homemade Mexican gorditas, prepared and served in a traditional manner. The concept that evolved from the street stalls of Ciudad Victoria almost 60 years ago in the state of Tamaulipas, now operates in over 200 locations throughout twenty-five states in Mexico and with licenses in the United States.
