Most people don't know but Snookie was a person. Even better, he was a Texan and our grand dad. Snookie was a celebrity chef in Brownwood as he catered holiday parties and town functions. Snookie was a genuine pit master who loved serving his own cooking and making people feel good. He taught us to always drink upstream from the herd & make sure everyone leaves full. Founded in 1989 in Snookie's honor by brothers Gene Street Jr. and Dace Street. The joint has become an Oak Lawn fixture. We redefine diversity around here, every race, income level, orientation and occupation mix in a relaxed atmosphere of hospitality. The food is all homemade and locally sourced as much as possible.
