Named after a Frenchman, Givrals originated in Paris, France and arrived in “the Paris of the East”, Saigon, in the mid 1800’s. Famous for its patisserie and café filtre, it quickly became a favorite with the locals and foreigners alike.Eventually, Houston would get its own Givrals in 1979.
