Family-owned and operated, Via Emilia Italian Restaurant (Champions) has been serving authentic Italian cuisine in Houston, Texas for over 12 years, specializing in home-made pastas and classic Northern Italian dishes. In 2010, Via Emilia was honored with being named as one of Houston's best Italian Restaurants by Channel 11 Khou News. Originally from Ravenna, situated in the Emilia-Romagna region of Northern Italy, restaurateurs Elda and Carlos have always had an unmatched passion for Italian cuisine and have been in the food business for over 50 years. They established a second restaurant, Via Emilia Italian Restaurant in The Woodlands, between Kuykendahl and Woodlands Parkway. The inspiration for the restaurants' name was the ancient Roman road Via Emilia, built in the second century B.C, which spans from Rimini to Piacenza. At Via Emilia, we pride ourselves on using fresh, high-quality ingredients to serve delicious, traditional Italian meals. The recipes for all the menu items were developed by Grandmother Elda; they are the same ones she learned from her mother and grandmother and had been cooking for her own family in Italy for decades.Our intention at Via Emilia is to offer a taste of Italy and an enjoyable dining experience.
