Kids Kove Playground is tucked behind Town Hall next door to the library and community center. It opened in 2007 on the site of the former Peck Playground -- a victim of aging playground equipment -- which closed in 2004. The $250,000 facility was built with lots of weekend volunteer labor and hundreds of hours of fundraising. Among the Kove's facilities are a wooden gazebo, plenty of swings, a massive rope pyramid, slides, a hammock, a tower, a rope bridge and a sponge-like foundation to prevent spills and falls from turning into much worse. There is plenty parking between the playground and Town Hall.
