Burger Island-Allen opened in March 2010. The location was an existing restaurant and is located in the busy Kroger shopping center at the corner of McDermott Drive and Alma behind the Firestone Autocenter. The new owners, Kaveer and Jaime - originally the owners of Burger Island-Carrollton, then Burger Island-Sachse, and most recently Burger Island-Rowlett, were co-workers at an italian restaurant in Garland for several years. The two had an idea of starting a burger restaurant that served high quality food as opposed to the taste-challenged fast food restaurants currently available. Just like the original Burger Island-Garland, the venture is still dedicated to preparing premium quality food at affordable prices. You will find a no-nonsense menu, unique sandwich creations and a friendly inviting atmosphere featuring 80's music and ESPN all the time. We also have a patio dining area to enjoy our great Texas weather. The Burger Island name is growing in popularity, and with it is the potential for more franchises in the DFW area.
