Since 1970, The Family Recreation Complex of Temple Terrace has served thousands of families. Currently, approximately 10,000 residents and non-residents of Temple Terrace take advantage of this modern facility. The Family Recreation Complex has a larger-than-life feel to it, since it has a tennis center, six lighted racquetball courts, two lighted outdoor basketball courts, two lighted sand volleyball courts, three air conditioned indoor gymnasiums, a gymnastics center, two dance/aerobic studios, two classrooms, a 3600 square foot fitness center, an aquatic area featuring a heated main pool, another pool with a 152 foot water slide, a kiddie pool and a water playground. Some of the amenities, such as the swimming pools and gymnastics center, are available for rent for private parties. The Family Recreation Complex also allows its members to use the gymnasiums and athletic fields for games and tournaments. This outstanding facility has served Temple Terrace families from generation to generation.
