DRBC Del Ray Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Congregation founded over 113 years ago here in Alexandria, VA. We have a small congregation but a large desire to be relevant to our community. Del Ray was once a very large congregation but over the years the church dwindled, due in part, to a failure to adapt to rapid changes within the surrounding community. The remaining members have a heartfelt desire to positively impact the community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have embarked on an effort to revitalize and reach out. All of us realize that we have to take new and unconventional approaches to ministry. We're praying that God will send laborers here that will work with us in a ministry that will be truly unique and innovative. Religion is a huge turn off and we don't promote it here at DRBC. Come as you are. Currently, if you visit our worship service it will look very traditional but we're always looking at ways that we can be more relevant. Maybe you have some great ideas. It's a mission field. Our community is WHY God has allowed our presence here. All that we do is geared toward reaching out. Our desire at DRBC is to be a blessing to our community and to become a greater witness for Christ here in Alexandria.
