With a counter not unlike those found in a diner, this restaurant has a fun feel that's part boardwalk stand and part ice cream shop. In business since the mid-'80s, Tubby's boasts the "best Texas chili outside of Texas," but also offers a range of affordable foods: burgers, cheese steaks, barbecue, gyros and more. For dessert, Tubby's serves frozen custards, milkshakes and ice cream. Though there are just a few tables, there is a long counter with stools for sitting, eating and chatting.
