In 1983, when Nord Brue and Mike Dressell started Bruegger's Bagel Bakery, bagels were considered mainly an ethnic food and were not really known outside of New York.

Nord Brue and Mike Dressell invented a new concept from their home base in Burlington, Vermont, by expanding the traditional bagel bakery into a quick service bakery with premium specialty cream cheeses, custom-made sandwiches, signature soups and great coffee. The owners even worked with a professional bagel baker from New York City for two and a half years to perfect Bruegger's recipes and baking process.

Since 2003, Bruegger's has evolved beyond bagels into breads, wraps and other lunchtime menu items, and has updated its bakeries to reflect the welcoming feel of a New England farmhouse-inspired bakery-café.

The Arlington location features all the menu items and specialties that Bruegger's is known for, served in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere.
