n January 1998, Lars and Sherie Bors-Koefoed bought an old country store and began extensive renovations ultimately resulting in the opening of the Hickory Notch Grill in June 1999. The pressed tin ceiling and exterior block work are all that remain of the original structure.Strong community support and a consistently full house led them to increase their dining space to include the new room featuring a stone fireplace and oak beams, creating a rustic atmosphere.The Hickory Notch Grill is renowned for hickory smoked meats, homemade desserts, fresh salads and friendly service.
