The first Panda Express restaurant was opened in a California mall back in 1983. It was the creation of Andrew and Peggy Cherng.  With hard work and determination, that one store has grown to over 820 locations in 35 states.

Panda Express is known for good, fast, buffet-style Chinese food.  Prices are reasonable and the setting is cafeteria-like. For those who like to eat out but don't want to overdo it with calories, the Wok Smart menu is the answer. These veggie-packed meals are less than 250 calories each. 

Panda Express is always adding different foods to its menu to give customers variety. It recently added delicious Kobari Beef to its menu. Kobari Beef is made of thinly sliced marinated beef, peppers, mushrooms and leeks smothered in a sweet, smoky, spicy Kobari sauce.
