Formerly "Famous Famiglia Pizzeria," New York Family Pizza has been in Groton since 1980. It is currently owned by Andy, who moved to the United States from Italy. The restaurant has pizza, calzones, both hot and cold grinders, salads and spaghetti dishes. There is a seating area with booths inside and the restaurant also does take out. The Pizza Party Special gives customers a fifth pizza for free if they buy four. New York Family Pizza also sells wine and has Budweiser and Long Trail Ale on tap.
