Here at Strawberry Street Café, we have been providing great food and service in an inviting, casual atmosphere since 1976. Located in the Historic Fan District, we are only about a ten minute drive from the Landmark Theatre and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. What we are best known for is our famous salad bar, which is actually situated in an old-fashioned bathtub and filled with fresh vegetables, fruits, prepared salads and homemade soups. The menu includes such specialties as Maryland Crabcakes, Pasta Jambalaya, Homemade Chicken Pot Pie, and Spinach Lasagna. Our reasonably priced wine list enables guests to complement their meal with a bottle of wine for the table or any wine by the glass. Choose from a selection of International and Craft bottled beers as well as several draft beers that change seasonally. Intricate stained glass, rich woodwork, fresh flowers and candles make this a cozy and intimate gathering place. On each wall is chalk art created by artist members of the restaurant staff. Guest look forward to the new renditions that appear every few months. Strawberry Street Café is proud to be involved with our community. We have always recognized the importance of giving back to non-profit organizations that provide an essential service in our community. The Central Virginia Food Bank and Meals on Wheels, The Childrens Museum of Richmond, and the Richmond S.P.C.A., are a few of the charities we have helped in the past. Our full menu, including sandwiches and entrees, is served daily beginning at 11:00 a.m. On Saturdays and Sundays, Brunch starts at 10:00 a.m. and features breakfast classics both on the menu and on our famous bathtub brunch bar.
