George patented the Mindermold which was used it making the Chip Steak . He opened a plant in Spokane and Seattle, before selling out in 1953. George built the Silverdale Shopping Center, one of the regions first strip malls. Today, it houses Silverdale State Bank and the Meat Locker Sound Studio's. During the early 1970's, Marlyn, George's only child, and her husband, W. James Carlson, assumed ownership and management of the company. Today, Minder Meats is run by James Minder Carlson, Georges Grandson. Minder Meats is located in a 9600 square foot, USDA Inspected facility. We sell hand-selected, Mid-western, Corn-fed Beef and USDA Choice, Prime Black Angus Beef along with a full range of poultry, pork, and seafood to over 250 Hotels, Restaurants, and Institutions in the Puget Sound Region.
