George's Place is one of the few time-tested Kirkland dining establishments, serving customers since 1976. George and family hail from Greece, bringing Mediterranean flavors to the table for breakfast, lunch and dinner. George's son Pete and long-time friend Derek are carrying the business into the next generation. On Thursday's, George's Place welcomes local bands to play in the bar section of the restaurant. Patrons come for the music and the Gyro Pita, but especially for the Olympic Omelet studded with kalamata olives, pepperoncinis and gyro meat topped in a tzatziki sauce.
