Jimmy John's is chain of gourmet sandwich shops. It was founded in 1983 and now has more than 1,000 stores, with many of them in college towns. Its menu contains roughly 20 different sandwiches that can be ordered either on 8-inch white hoagie rolls, whole wheat sliced bread or in a wrap. It also offers its own brand of chips (original, barbecue, salt and vinegar, and jalepeno) with water or a soft drink. Jimmy John's sandwiches are best characterized by their thin-sliced, fresh deli meats and cheeses and homemade breads.
